Filinona
Filinona. This Sicilian word refers to the hottest hours of a summer day, when everything is silent and conducive to rest. However, even if people and animals are taking a break, the sun keeps working and its magical touch on the vines ripens the grapes.
As such, our "Nero d'Avola" grapes contain within them the sun, the flavours and the colours of Sicily. Casa Modica decided to call Filinona the first bottle of Eloro D.O.C. as a tribute to the beauty of Sicilian language. A simple way to show how the unique taste of tradition can be combined with modernity.
